A new hobby I have just taken up, and boy, is it hard.

I wanted to be able to take arial shots, and after a lot of research decided I could also enjoy the challenge of learning to fly a radio controlled helicopter.  I knew it would be difficult, but it’s proving more so then I expected.  Probably my age.

The TRex is a really nice machine, but also quite intimidating to a novice.

I have joined a very helpful club, but its taking me a time to learn to hover.

I have now bought a small and light heli to practice on.  It’s a Blade 120SR.  Lots of crashes, but cheap and easy to repair, unlike the TRex.

I now feel that I am ‘getting there’ on this new model, so will hopefully soon be ready to try the TRex again
